Cleveland is in northeastern Ohio along Lake Erie, and is home to about 2 million people. The region has many environmental issues, including urban renewal, remediation of Lake Erie and other waterways and land, managing parks, and air quality. Concerning urban renewal, there is a movement to make the process more “green” through community involvement and education – already a neighborhood and its transit stop in the city are being built, maintained, and showcased as an environmentally-friendly community of 2,000 people.
